Hello!

We have some exciting news! NorCal Resist, Peach House Presents, and Queer Shoppe (Amelia Sultana) are partnering to bring a new collective to Sacramento.

In mid-March, we’re opening a new space as a hub for arts, activism, fashion, resources, music, and workshops! During the day, the space will be a storefront- selling local art, music, zines, and clothing. By night, it will host art and activist workshops, be a meeting hub for local organizations, and function as a practice space for bands and dance groups. It will also be a space to host ongoing fundraising events, art exhibits, and live music.

We believe that the resources each organization brings to the table, and the merging of arts, activism, and action, while keeping the direct integrity of the neighborhood in mind, will add to the many diverse resource centers in the Sacramento area!

NorCal Resist is a grassroots organization that provides: bond  for immigrants detained by ICE, accompaniment services and day-to-day provisions (food, clothing, medication, etc.) to asylum seekers, educational workshops and trainings (Know Your Rights, Asylum Seeker Sponsorship, MigraWatch, etc.), asylum application workshops, and a mutual aid program including home repairs and brake light fix-it clinics to protect potential unnecessary interactions with the police and fines, among many other projects.

Queer Shoppe (Amelia Sultana) connects Sacramento's queer and transgender community to each other as well as the makers, vendors, and fashion community. Amelia is an entrepreneur, life coach, and all bodied activist who excels at community connection.

Peach House Presents is a DIY run organization that hosts such staples as the first ever transgender job fair, POC+Queer Market, Daydream Festival and more. Peach House hosts Sacramento's most inclusive and most beautifully curated events - music, arts, vending, and activism.

Our combine goal is to provide marginalized communities access to a fun, safe space that introduces the arts and activism, provides necessary resources, trainings, and workshops, can purchase clothing and home items at low cost, and provides legal services to undocumented and asylum-seeking individuals.

ere's where you come in!

If you believe in community spaces, immigration justice, direct action, beauty in the arts, fashion, activism, creativity or any mix of the above, then this space is for you!  We are asking for financial support from our community to help us make this space possible.

Your donation will directly go towards the opening and sustainability of a space predominantly run by people of color for the most marginalized communities. Our hope is that we can reach $5,500 but should we go beyond that, it will continue the process of easily running a facility. There is no donation too small!
