Manu School of Yoga for Ukraine

 

Being sensitive to the current global scenario, Manu School of Yoga has decided to open 3 spots for 2022 Teacher’s Training available only for Ukrainian refugees in Portugal.

 

Our aim is not only to offer our Yoga Alliance International certified Teacher’s Training but also a career opportunity and an integration in the yoga community in Portugal.

 

With this tool the trainees will potentially be able to find a job in the yoga area, make friends and hopefully experience an easiest integration in our country. They will also have the chance to make use of this tool to offer classes to other refugees facing a hard situation.

 

We will fully safeguard all costs regarding the entire course, our call for action is only focused on helping us gather funds for:

 

- 3 weeks accommodation in Sintra (May, September and November for 3 adults and 2 children, could be more children and adults if we accommodate the familys - around 5000€);

- Personal Injury Insurance, mandatory during the whole Teacher’s Training (around 150€), manuals (60€), food (around 500€/600€ ,depending the number of people, per week - 1800€ for the 3 weeks) and transportation (from porto, Lisbon airport and Malveira, around 200€);

- Some of the applicants have dependent children, so they will also need a babysitting service during those days, so that they can attend the course (around 500€ per week -1500€ for the entire course);
- The remaining capital will be used for basic support between the training modules and after as a booster to initiate their career as yoga teachers. 

 

Baring in mind this situation is not something that can be solved with band aids, we feel that giving tools and investing in people’s future will empower them and might help them regain their autonomy and shift their lives.
