Help Manny Protect His Custody and Keep His Daughter Safe

Tragically, on July 19, 2024, my fiancée passed away unexpectedly. Amid overwhelming grief, another heartbreak unfolded: my daughter was unlawfully taken from me by her maternal grandmother, who immediately cut off all communication between us. This was devastating, especially knowing the deeply strained and volatile relationship my fiancée had with her mother—a relationship often marked by long periods of no contact.

Determined to protect my daughter and keep her in the only stable home she has ever known, I pursued custody through the legal system. In December 2024, the court granted me sole legal and physical custody, recognizing the bond we share and my commitment to her well-being. Finally reunited, my daughter expressed how much she missed her dad, and slowly we started to heal.

However, despite the court’s clear ruling, her grandmother refused to comply, forcing me into a prolonged legal battle. Although the court has consistently ruled in my favor, the grandmother’s ongoing resistance has drained my resources and extended this fight.

In March 2025, after a change in her legal representation, the court set aside the default judgment—not because of any wrongdoing on my part, but due to technicalities that restarted this long and costly custody battle.

To date, I have spent over $34,000 fighting to defend my parental rights and protect my daughter’s future. I have exhausted my savings, but I will never give up on her.
