Manchester Marathon Sr Mary Seafarers Sunderland

Hi, I’m planning to run a marathon on Sunday 3rd April and raise money for Sr. Mary (the most famous nun on Wearside!!) and the Stella Maris Seafarers Centre in Sunderland. Sister Mary is my Aunty in law and she does fantastic work around Sunderland. I feel the need to do something in return such as this marathon attempt and raise some funds. Sr Mary will put the funds to very good use at her seafarers mission at the port in Sunderland. Any donated money goes direct 100% (I will personally top up any fees deducted by this platform with the final funds to Sr Mary).
The seafarers have often spent long times in difficult conditions at the sea on their journeys. Sr Mary operates at the port providing practical and pastoral support to the seafarers along with delivering hot cups of tea, internet access and taxi cards. All religions are always welcome. Sr Mary makes clothes, does needlework, and used to cook dinner at the Salvation Army. She is always busy! Sr Mary arranges masses on ships, provides thermal hats and socks for those in need.
