I am running the Manchester Marathon in April to raise money for the Mai Aisha Trust, who run local development projects in Blantyre, Malawi. These projects are centred around providing an enriching educational environment for young people, establishing effective water irrigation systems in local communities and supporting women's health and employment through various initiatives. I will be interning in Blantyre this summer to learn more about the positive impact that these projects have and to develop my interest in the field of development. Any donations would be greatly appreciated; money will be directed towards resources for local schools and funding for the other projects led by the trust.
