Hi my name is Susan, I am fundraising for a very deserving young man, his name is Herman, he is a 34 year old very brave man.

He has been in a wheelchair for the past 18 years, because of a tragic car accident. Despite a much more difficult life, he has tried to count his blessings, and with a sometimes forced smile, carries on.

But now something has happened to create a scary situation for anyone, but in Herman's case there is a triple threat. He was trying to run an errand that would help out his wife, a lovely young lady who stole his heart, he and she were married a little over a year ago and with her two son's they became a family.

Now his plan went to pieces, Threat# 1- when his wheelchair moved as he was transferring from his car, and he landed hard on the ground, with no one in sight to help him, he called his wife, who was at work, but came quickly to his side, and feared his injury was more than a bruised ego....so to the hospital they went, and sure enough, Threat # 2- he had Broken his leg, his femur high on his hip.

Now because he doesn't walk, they are just putting a brace on him and are keeping him over night to make sure he doesn't form blood clots.

However, now here is where you all come in, Threat #3-Herman can't go to work for 6-10 weeks, he heals slower and is at risk for other complications because of his condition. Though his wife works he was the main breadwinner, for his family of 4, and unfortunately with his job, he only gets paid if he's there. Any help you can give will allow Herman the time he needs to heal, so he can again provide for his family.
