Mammy & Daughter run 5km in each of Ireland's 32 Counties

We are Kate and Sarah, a 41 and 8 year old, mother and daughter duo who are going to run a 5km ParkRun in each of Ireland's 32 counties. We started with Dublin on the 28th June and hope to finish in our home county of Carlow on 31st January 2026, completing one a week for the next 32 weeks (weather and sickness permitting). We might be the first people to complete a ParkRun in each county (I can only find evidence of one man having done 23 counties) and Sarah will be the first person under 18 to complete a 5km run in each of Ireland's 32 counties.

We are raising money for two charities that are extremely close to our hearts.

Firstly, Friends of the Coombe, this charity helps fund life-saving equipment and ground breaking research especially for premature and vulnerable babies. My twins, Sarah & Harry were born here at 29 weeks and benefited from their expert care that ultimately saved their lives, and mine.

Second, The Cerebral Palsy Football Development Academy. My son (Sarah's brother Harry) plays for this club. It was set up in 2016 by Rachel Kavanagh and Donal Halpin, and is the only dedicated cerebral palsy football club in the country. The club provides a footballing home for children and young adults with CP. Watching these boys train and work so hard is incredible. They are the most hard-working, determined and resilient athletes in the country - thanks to their dedicated coaches. The Club is affiliated with and supported by the FAI.

As I am raising money for two charities (one medical charity and one sports club) the money raised will go to my account and I will show pictures/receipts etc. of me delivering half of the funds raised to both of the charities.
