Mama Ruby's Home Renovation Fund
Donation protected
Hello Family,
This is Billy and Kim Coleman, the children of Ruby Freeman. Many of you know our mom as the life of the party, but in more recent years, she has experienced a great need as she has undergone hip surgeries and other challenges that have impacted her health. Mom's dream has always been to make her home a place where her children and grandchildren could gather and fellowship. In the light of reality, her decades-old home has not been that welcoming space she has envisioned. As an older, single woman on a fixed income, she has been unable to make this vision a reality as time has passed.
Kim and I, and our family, are committed to making her Golden Years her best years. We hope to raise funds for creating a safe and functional home to improve her quality of life. We are asking for the help of our family and friends to make this dream a reality. This is an intimate appeal that is not being publicly broadcast to preserve our mother's dignity. We are reaching out to our closest allies for support.
In the first week of October 2022, we are traveling to Tulsa to join with a few family members and friends committed to putting in sweat equity to make our mother's dream a reality. We started this process in Summer 2021, where we prepared her home for the work that needed to be completed. After a major "spring cleaning" project, her home is ready for the necessary
renovations of weatherizing the home by completing window repairs and insulation, electrical work, drywall, and plumbing. If we are fortunate, we would like to purchase some essential items such as up-to-date toilets, an efficient washer and dryer, and other necessary items to help her feel more comfortable.
God has blessed us deeply to be able to engage in this process. As you consider sharing in this journey through a gift of love, we want to thank you so much for your generosity, support and encouragement! All donations, small and large, are greatly appreciated. Thank you.
