Hi, I’m Ashley, and I am Mama G’s (Gloria) daughter in law. I am starting up this GoFund me to help out somebody who has spent her entire life helping and being there for others, and now might need to lean on her friends and family for help herself.

Recently Mama G started have health issues that came literally out of left field. She initially went to the ER for major fatigue and head aches only to find out she needed a blood transfusion and had a minor stroke in the past years that had created a dark spot on her head due to lack of blood flow.

A couple weeks later she had chest pains and took herself to the ER to find out she had a heart attack due to tears in the blood vessels in her heart. These tears typically happen due to stress and physical exertion. In addition she had another blood transfusion because she is not producing enough blood so several tests have been done including a bone marrow test.

Today we receive the worst news, that out mama G was diagnosed with Stage 4 stomach and bone marrow cancer. The doctor wants to start chemo however can’t start until her heart condition is stable. This is going to be a long and hard road for her so we are ready to do anything it takes to help her through it.

Unfortunately, every big test she has had done or nights in the hospital is $200 a pop for a copay, plus all the bills coming from chemo treatments, while Mama G is retired and trying to live on social security payments which is so tough to do with all the inflation now a days for literally everything.

I think it would be amazing to help Mama G cover some of these expenses so that she doesn’t have to stress so much on how she would pay for them. Most important is that she sees so many people supporting her and it gives her hope. If we can all rally our family would be so appreciative.
