Humanitarian aid is requested with respect to Mama Chuy; a widow of the elderly. We are saddened to report that due to a short-circuit problem, Mama Chuy's house was completely burned last Friday at 1:50 in the morning ( 17 Feb 2023 ).

Mama Chuy, her daughter, and her two grandchildren were asleep when the fire started. Her granddaughter was awakened by a burning sensation at the point of her fingers and that's when she noticed that the whole house was burning. She quickly went to pick up Mama Chuy and her child to get out of the house. They were still trapped because the fence had a padlock that they placed for security so they could not open without the key that was left in the fire. Thank God the firefighters came quickly and were able to get them out on time.

We are extremely grateful to God that Mama Chuy, her daughter, and her grandchildren are well and safe and only suffered minor burns.

Se solicita ayuda humanitaria con respeto a Mama Chuy; una señora viuda de la tercera edad. Nos entristece informar que debido a un problema cortocircuito, la casa de Mama Chuy se quemó por completo el Viernes pasado a las 1:50 de la madrugada (17 Feb 2023).

Mama Chuy, su hija, y sus dos nietos estaban dormidos cuando comenzó el fuego. Su nieta fue despertada por una sensación de ardor en la punto de los dedos y es cuando noto que toda la casa se estaba quemando. Ella rápidamente fue a levantar a Mama Chuy y a su niño para salirse de la casa. Aún permanecían atrapados por que el cerco tenía un candado que colocaban para seguridad por lo cual no podrían abrir sin la llave que fue dejada en el fuego. Gracias a Dios los bomberos llegaron rápido y los pudieron sacar a tiempo.

Estamos extremadamente agradecidos con Dios de que Mama Chuy, su hija, y sus nietos están bien y a salvo y solo sufrieron quemaduras leves.
