The 6th Bourne End & Cookham Illuminated Boat gathering is on Sat 14th Sept 2024, based around The Bounty pub, Bourne End.

Great fun for all with music, low noise fireworks, charity auction items and fancy dress—all to raise funds for Sue & Dave/ The Bounty’s nominated charity of Mama Amelia Orphanage, near Cape Town.

In 2023 we had 22 craft participating, including 2 kayaks and Elvis ( the illuminated pink flamingo shown) & raised over £2000 for the charity, in this annual spectacle.

Over 1000 people enjoyed watching from the banks of The Thames, including gatherings at Bourne End Marina, Upper Thames Sailing club, Spade Oak wharf & The Bounty itself.

Funds raised in 2024 will again be used for classroom & playground facilities, school uniforms, general clothing & food.

To make 2024 BIGGER & BETTER, for the enjoyment of Cookham & Bourne End local communities & simultaneously raise funds for this deserving charity, please donate £10 ( or £20 per family ), if you are able to do so, please.
