Hi, I’m Hazim. I’m fundraising for my friend Simon Malano, a teacher in Loitokitok, Kenya, who runs the Masaai Kids Education project and advocates for climate action. We met at an online environmental webinar, Enviroverse, hosted by my friend Charlie.

In July 2024 I presented my university’s solar project, @SolarableProject, and Malano reached out about installing solar panels at his school. I donated part of my project funds, and he sent me a thank you letter, receipts, videos from his students and a Maasai dance.

A year later the original panels need maintenance, possibly replacement. I’m now selling winter heated blankets through @Solarableproject and will donate a portion of the profits to Simon’s school.

I’ve set up a GoFundMe to help cover the costs, but I thought why not share this initiative publicly for other people interested to support him. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated. Please feel free to share the link and follow updates on our Instagram page. Thank you!

Edit: Thank you for helping this reach £100! After conversation with Malano, ideal funds for Malano would be £250. The breakdown:
