Our beloved Aunty Safina Kousar was a woman of great warmth, kindness, and resilience. She was a loving mother to four beautiful boys, sister, daughter, and aunty to many. Her caring nature and gentle demeanor touched the hearts of all who know her. Safina was always impeccably presented, and her approach to life was one of grace and generosity. She greeted everyone with love and compassion, creating lasting bonds with those around her.
Born deaf in Pakistan, Safina faced numerous challenges early in life. Despite her passion for education, the lack of resources at the time made it difficult for her to pursue her dreams in this area. Instead, her parents taught her the skill of sewing, and when she moved to the UK, she continued this work with great skill and dedication. Many people know her for the beautiful clothes she sewed for them, which became a reflection of her talent and hard work.
In the past year, Safina was diagnosed with lung cancer, a condition that has sadly progressed rapidly, and she is now receiving palliative care. She began chemotherapy tablets, but they have unfortunately not had the desired effect.
During this time, Safina made a heartfelt request. She wished to support the poor children of the village of Malala, where she once attended school as a young child. Due to the lack of facilities to accommodate her disability, she was unable to fully benefit from her education there. However, she hoped to help those in need, so they may have access to the education she was unable to pursue. Her goal was to raise funds for the Malala School to improve its facilities and ensure that children, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, can receive a proper education.
Through this charitable effort, Safina, who passed away on the 15th of December 2024, hoped to continue earning rewards in the Hereafter, Insha’Allah.
We kindly ask for your support, whether large or small, to help us fulfill Safina’s wish. Your contribution will be a source of Sadaqah Jariyah, benefiting her in the Aakhirah.
We are deeply grateful for any support you can offer in this noble cause. May Allah reward you abundantly.
Jazakallah Khairun.
