Making waves for RMHC: Grace's 150km swim challenge!
Donation protected
My name is Grace, and I am a year 9 boarder in Melbourne. I am originally from a small town in central Victoria called Goornong. I started boarding this year in Melbourne to improve myself at swimming, I train 9 times a week and I love it. Another reason I began boarding was to improve myself as an overall person. This year I have set myself a challenge to swim a total of 150km in 31 days for the Ronald McDonald house charities!
Ronald McDonald House Charities provide a "home away from home" for families with seriously ill children undergoing treatment, ensuring they can stay together during difficult times. They offer comfortable accommodations and essential resources, allowing families to focus on their child's recovery.
Because of my swimming ability and dedication to fitness, I have a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. I am incredibly fortunate to have a healthy, capable body that allows me to train and push my limits daily. However, it's easy to take this gift for granted. Many people don't have the same privilege, facing challenges that prevent them from enjoying the benefits of physical activity.
We often overlook the simple blessing of our fitness, but now is our chance to change that. By donating, you can help me use my abilities to support and uplift those who need it most. Let's come together to show our gratitude for our own health and pay it forward to make a real impact. Your support can make a world of difference.
All the money donated will go towards creating care packages for families staying at Ronald McDonald House Charities around Melbourne. Your donation will make a direct impact, providing much-needed support and comfort to families in need.
Thanks for much for your support and time!
