Joey & Karly's journey to parenthood hasn't been an easy road. After months of trying to conceive naturally, Karly was diagnosed with PCOS and Joey was given disappointing news that it would be much harder for him as well.
Joey and Karly had made the decision to start the IVF process for the best chances of conceiving their first child. In August 2021, Joey and Karly retrieved 21 eggs, 13 fertilized in which 5 had made it to the embryo stage. In October 2021, Joey and Karly had their first frozen transfer and found out they were pregnant at the end of October. Unfortunately, they lost their first baby at the end of November. Genetic testing after D&C showed a normal baby boy and Karly's autoimmune panel has been normal so far. They are still trying to find answers and want to continue their journey with their remaining embryos but unfortunately this also comes at a cost.
On behalf of their friends and family, we hope to lessen the stress of the financial burden they have and continue to endure. Any amount helps. We know they will be amazing parents. Joey & Karly are two of the most unselfish, supportive, greatest friends and family members anyone could ask for. Now it's our turn to give back to them what they've given to all of us and what a better gift than to invest in a life!
If you can't contribute, no worry at all. But we do ask that you keep them in your thoughts & prayers while they continue the road to making Mini Martinez.
