My Dad's Last Wish...

For anyone who doesn't know, my name is Missy, and 3 days before Christmas, we very abruptly and unexpectedly lost my Dad, Edward (Eddie) MacMillan. He was taken to the hospital in an ambulance due to what we found out was a massive heart attack, and passed away there. Needless to say, my family is devastated.....

That is definitely not what any of us expected to happen that day - especially my Mom (Lori MacMillan). She is completely heartbroken, and now without her husband of 30 years.....

Now, not going into too much detail (because my Mom wouldn't like that) - my parents have been struggling quite a bit financially recently, as my Dad really had to take a step back from working the past couple years. In fact, he was barely working at the time of his passing - and he was always the one who brought in most of the money. So, my Mom has had to work more in the past couple of years to make up for the lack of finances being brought in by my Dad, but she has health issues that make it impossible for her to work a full-time job, and let's face it, she's not getting any younger.

Anyways, my parents were just starting to get their finances in a better place, but with the passing of my Dad now, my Mom will no longer get his old age pension (which they heavily relied upon - and she doesn't qualify for her own yet). Now, my husband and I try to help her out as much as we can, of course - and we would just pay for everything for her, if we could, but unfortunately, that's just not possible. Only my husband works, and I stay at home with our daughter, as I have my own health issues that keep me from being able to work.

ALSO..... Due to the nature of my Dad's mental health issues, it would have been too expensive for him to have life insurance - to the point where the monthly payment would have been unmanageable for my parents. Therefore, his funeral costs were not covered by his insurance, because he didn't have it.

SO..... I guess I'm just asking for some help for my Mom. Not only has she lost her husband just before Christmas, and is trying to grieve while having to deal with his funeral and just everything and is SO overwhelmed - but now, has to be dealing with financial issues too. I just want to do whatever I can to make sure that she's alright and doesn't need to worry about how she is going to get by.

And honestly, my Dad's last wish would have been for my Mom to be taken care of - because he would never have wanted his passing to cause her to struggle. He loved her, and always made sure that she was taken care of when he was here.

With that being said, she's not someone who likes asking for help, and is just very stubborn. However, she helps literally everyone else with everything - all the time. She has the kindest, most generous heart..... and now, SHE needs some help.

SO..... I would love to be able to bless her with some money, so she just has one less thing to worry about right now while she's trying to grieve and adjust to her new reality. So, if you have it in your heart to help her out at all, every little bit counts..... Please help my Dad's wish come true by helping my Mom. Thank you so much!
