Markel and Martel Cooper, twin brothers and founders of Summer Impakt, were raised in one of Long Beach’s toughest neighborhoods—an area plagued by gang violence, drugs, and crime. Now coaches and physical education teachers in Long Beach Unified School District, they are committed to being positive role models and creating change in the same kinds of communities they grew up in.

Summer Impakt is a youth development program designed to empower young men through physical activity, self-defense, and life skills training. Our mission is to equip boys in underserved neighborhoods with the confidence, discipline, and guidance they need to make positive life choices and build brighter futures.

We are currently raising funds to cover essential program costs, including equipment, healthy snacks, and T-shirts for each student. Your support helps us continue providing a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment for the youth who need it most.
