Makimei Children's Home Nairobi

Hello everyone!
A month ago we volunteered at an orphanage in Nairobi, Kenya named Makemei - an experience that really touched our hearts. We were amazed by the children’s positive attitude and were pleased to see how well cared for they were. Having left Kenya, we bumped into a couple of travellers who summited Kilimanjaro in January, the tallest mountain in Africa. So, last minute we thought we would put our meagre amount of fitness to the test and attempt to climb it! This will take us 7 days altogether and we will have to battle altitude sickness, temperatures as low as -20 and the peak of rainy season. We thought this would be a fantastic opportunity to give back to Makimei children’s home following their wonderful hospitality.

Thus, we are asking you to donate any amount you can as we try and raise as much money as we can for the orphans that ask for so little. All money will be passed on to Makimei children’s home where we are sure it’ll make a great difference to the lives of the children we grew so fond of.

(We have already paid for our trip in full and all money raised goes straight to the Children’s home)
