About 2 weeks ago, my sister’s son Easton was bit by his own dog, leading him to have over 50 stitches on his face. All within these 2 weeks, MaKenzie and her son have had to deal with doctor visits, a long healing journey for Easton, and even saying their final goodbyes to a family member neither one of them will ever be able to forget.

MaKenzie was rushed to Millard Fillmore Hospital yesterday afternoon after an urgent care visit. She was facing a pleural effusion, leaving doctors and her no choice but to undergo surgery this morning to remove tissue beside her lungs.

She’s made it through surgery. She will be spending a few days in the ICU and then transferred to a recovery room. We’re asking friends and family to help this young 22-year-old mom stay on her feet while she goes through this very long recovery process. Anything helps her and is very much appreciated.
