My name is Franchesca. I am the oldest daughter of Tim and Estela. They have been married for over 50 years. They have resided in their home for the last 40 years. My mom is a retired school aide who worked for the local school district for over 30 years. My dad is a former mechanic, truck driver, car salesman, and many other things. He still works at 83 years old, periodically driving buses full of Marines and Sailors and semi-trucks full of military equipment between bases to raise extra money since both are on a fixed income.

My parents have always strived to have a lovely home. They have a tropical hideaway with flowering plants, fruit trees, and other large trees. They have always been welcoming, hosting family and friends, and exchange students over the years. My parents have also hosted two weddings in their backyard.

This year, my family made a trip to visit for the holidays. I learned that they have found signs of termites, so I started getting quotes, and they discovered the entire attic to be rank with rodent urine and feces. My parents would be loath to see this revelation, but I need to figure out a way to fix this for them. Upon consideration, my parents' recent health issues may be related to the rodents.

My mom used a lot of her savings to repair the leaking roof and plumbing last year. I'm working on getting other quotes to help the issue, but so far, the quotes exceed my budget. Given my parents always helping others, I thought I would see if others might help them. I want my parents to feel comfortable hosting others again, but I think until their rodent problem is addressed, it might not be safe.
