Make Summer Experiences Possible for Local Children

Tax deductible
Dear Friends,

As we near the official start of summer, I’m reaching out to ask you to support the Doli Atamian Campership Program (DACP), established over 30 years ago to fund summer experiences for income qualifying families and their children. Summer is a critical time for kids to grow and develop. Summer programming supports social, physical, and cultural enrichment, experiences that every kid deserves. As a member of a changing community, I’m so grateful to DACP for ensuring kids who struggle financially are included in these activities.

At the Doli Atamian Campership Program (DACP), we give scholarships of $300 to eligible families so they can deepen children’s connections during the summer. Recipients can join their peers in summer camp, take flute lessons, develop athletic skills, or learn to drive. They can use the months between academic years to connect and grow alongside their peers, and return to school in the fall with stories to tell and a future to imagine. We have never turned away an eligible child.

School is out in most districts next week. Our goal is to raise 10 camperships ($3000) by June 21st. We would love your help to ensure inclusion for local kids in need this summer.

To donate, visit our GoFundMe page. Donation funds will go directly to camperships and to support our operating costs (thanks to our all-volunteer board, our only costs are non-profit fees, paper, and postage).

With gratitude for your support,
Abby.
