An Update From Our Family

As promised, we wanted to share an update on where things stand.

While we’re heartbroken and still processing this loss, we take comfort in knowing Mom's at peace- and in the incredible outpouring of love and support we’ve received. Your contributions have made an enormous difference, helping us cover travel costs to be together with her and arrange to bring Mom home for burial.

We’ve secured a burial site at Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge, NJ, the place she requested and that holds deep meaning for our family.

The funeral is tentatively scheduled for 10/24/2025 at:
1098 Woodbridge Center Dr, Woodbridge Township, NJ 07095

The total costs for the service, burial, and rabbi, are expected to be $3000, an amount we are short of.

For those who haven’t yet contributed but wish to, any amount, no matter how small, truly helps us honor her final wishes. We don’t ask for this support lightly. Mom’s greatest wish was not to burden her children, and we’re doing everything we can to fulfill her end-of-life wishes with the dignity she deserves.

To everyone who has already donated - some more than once - thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your generosity made it possible for Mom to be surrounded by family, brought home, and soon laid to rest.

From our entire family, thank you for helping us through this heartbreaking time.

An Update From Our Family

It's with overwhelming sadness that we update everyone that Mom passed away this morning. She felt no pain or discomfort, which was very important to us after the two months of incredible stress that her body went through. We know she's at peace, and that's what wanted for her above all.

Thank you to everyone for all of your outpouring of concern, love, support, prayers, and memories.

We do intend to fulfill Mom's wishes to the best of our ability. We will share funeral details in the days or weeks to come, all depending on the pieces coming together. As we work on that, we ask once more that this be shared, and that those who still can, please contribute.

Thank you for your support in all forms, we know Mom loved everyone that has reached out and she felt the support.

An Update From Our Family

We want to thank you all again for your incredible support, generosity, and prayers. To those who have most recently contributed, please know how deeply grateful we are.

Our mom remains in the final stages of hospice. She is comfortable, not in any pain, and surrounded by her family. We’ve been reading all of the comments, messages, and texts that have come in, letting her know how much love and prayers are being sent her way. It brings comfort to her, and to us, to feel that outpouring of care.

We remain by her side until she lets go. We will provide a further update when available, and for those who have asked about funeral or celebration of life details, we will share them in the coming days.

While the response to the GoFundMe has surpassed our expectations, the reality is that it will not yet cover the costs we face. We kindly ask that you continue to share our story, and for those who are able, contribute. We don’t ask this lightly. Every act makes these arrangements that much more possible.

Thank you all so much,

Our family

An Update From Our Family
On behalf of our entire family, we want to thank each and every one of you for your incredible support, generosity, and prayers. The love you have shown us during this time has given us strength and comfort in ways we cannot fully put into words.
Our mom has declined rapidly, and doctors now believe she only has hours to days left with us. This is the hardest news we could ever share, but we are holding close to her, cherishing these final moments, and doing all we can to make sure her last wish is honored.
Your kindness has carried us through this heartbreaking journey, and we are forever grateful. Please continue to keep our mom in your hearts and prayers as we walk with her through these final steps.
With love and gratitude,
Our family

We never imagined we would be here, writing these words. Our hearts are breaking as we face the reality of losing our mom, and we need help to honor her last wish.
Just one month ago, our mom was full of hope. She had survived major open heart surgery, and we all believed the worst was finally behind us. But life took a devastating turn.
A prescribed medication caused her kidneys and liver to fail, and a hidden virus attacked her brain. For two weeks, she laid on a ventilator, unable to speak, while we prayed for her to open her eyes again. She fought bravely, but every time she took a step forward, another tragedy struck. A mini stroke. Pneumonia. Sepsis. And now, the most crushing news of all: her heart is failing, with just 15% function. Doctors say she has at most six months left. Hospice is now our reality.
Our mom is our rock, the heart of our family. She gave selflessly, even when she had nothing left to give. To see her fight so hard, knowing we cannot change what is coming, is the hardest thing we have ever faced.
But she has one last wish, and it is the only thing keeping her spirit at peace. She wants to come home. She longs to leave Nebraska and return to New Jersey, to be laid to rest beside her family who have gone before her.
Unfortunately, because of her condition, she cannot fly commercially or travel long distances by car. The only option is to prepare to fly her for burial, which comes at an overwhelming cost along with the expenses for her medical care and burial.
We also want to give her dignity, peace, and the comfort of knowing she will rest where she wishes at home with hospice care.
This is where we need your help. Every dollar, every share, every prayer matters. Your generosity will not only cover medical transport and burial costs, but will also allow her four sons to travel to see her, giving us the chance to be by her side and fulfill her final wish.
If you can give, we are deeply grateful. If you cannot, please share our story, your share might be the one that reaches someone who can help.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with us in this painful journey. Your kindness means more than words can ever say.
With love and gratitude,
Our family
