Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit YMCA Camp Hi-Rock! Your donation will help make an immediate impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
As many of you know, Camp Hi-Rock has been a huge part of my life, and I know for a fact that I wouldn't be who I am today without the many important role models I have had because of camp. That brings me to this little fundraiser I am doing. One of the people who had a major impact on my time at Hi-Rock was Paul Duffy. Paul taught me a lot of things - some better left unsaid - including:
How to change my oil.
That you need to secure a ladder while climbing :).
How to use a tractor (well, I kind of taught myself - sorry bud).
How to replace a front wheel hub assembly on a 2002 Chevy Tahoe.
And probably above all, that campers' needs come before our needs.
This last point, it seems, has led to a situation in which Paul and Rochelle have been living in a house that is about to collapse because his maintenance time is spent fixing things for his co-workers, groups, campers, volunteers, really anyone but his family! It's time we gave Paul a dose of his own medecine and put his needs first! Join me in helping to build Paul and Rochelle Duffy a new house at Camp Hi-Rock!
