Help Michael and Henry Become Parents
Donation protected

We're Michael and Henry from the Chicago suburbs, and we're hoping to become parents. We've been married for over 8 years and together for 10. We both have full-time jobs and have been saving money for years with the hope that we could adopt or have a child through surrogacy. Despite countless ups and downs, we never gave up on our dream.
At the end of 2023, it seemed our prayers had been answered. Health tests came back positive, and we were confident we’d receive a substantial grant to help cover the costs. Unfortunately, the grant was denied initially. By the time we reapplied and were approved it, the agency had changed its policies. Instead of the $40,000 we had hoped
for, the maximum grant was reduced to $10,000 and we wouldn’t qualify until 2025 because their 2024 quota was already met.
We didn’t give up. We found another agency that offered significant savings for grant recipients. However, at the beginning of 2024, Michael began having severe muscular and nerve pain. After months of physical therapy, medications, and spinal decompression, Michael had spinal surgery in December 2024. While the surgery was successful, it required a month off work, resulting in lost wages and added financial strain.
On top of this, the uncertainty of the current political climate and changes to student loan repayment plans have added to our challenges. Despite it all, we remain determined to build our family. This is our last chance to make our dream of parenthood come true.
Please consider donating to our campaign. No amount is too small, and every contribution makes a difference. If you’re unable to donate, we would be incredibly grateful if you could share our fundraiser with your friends and family. Together, we can make this dream a reality.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness and support. Your generosity means the world to us and brings us closer to the family we’ve always wanted.
