Make Our Park Safe

Tax deductible
During most weekends at Friendship ("Turtle") Park, you will hear the familiar sounds of a baseball game and children playing on the playground. But several times during every game, the crack of the bat is followed by spectators’ worried yells of “heads up, heads up!” The field used by the oldest ballplayers, is right next to the new playground. Foul balls flying out of play often land directly in the playground.  Luckily, no one has yet been hurt by these foul balls.

Northwest Little League (NWLL) is leading a community effort to raise funds to build a protective fence at Friendship Park (“Turtle Park”) through a partnership with the city government.  The Little League has been successful at raising two-thirds of the funds necessary to complete this project.  This is where you come in!  We want to raise the awareness about this project with the the rest of the community.  And we need your financial help to complete our fundraising goal.
We will complete the construction of a protective fence for this spring season. But we can not do this without your help.  Any donation is appreciated.  A complete description of sponsorship levels, as well as updates on the project are here at www.makeourparksafe.org.
