Make like Wednesday and help us with this last HUMP

A new housing opportunity has come along at exactly the right time for me to learn how to ask for help from my community. I'm so excited to be able to have a bedroom for the Boy!

I've been able to muscle through a lot of wild housing and vehicle stuff over the last four years, and have been the benefactor of many supportive loved ones. We all know that fear of being a burden and the ferocious desire to be independent, so to say this is a difficult thing for me to ask is an understatement. I also know that when I'm this close to being out of resources or backed into a corner, it's because I've forgotten that I'm not "in control."

There are a few factors at play, but ultimately the security deposit and some furniture are my goals. I'd like to be able to have that space for me and the Boy and have him be comfortable in it. If it hadn't been for a couple of ugly car repairs we wouldn't be here, but that doesn't matter so much.

What does matter is I have faith that whatever is meant to happen will happen. I am hoping that part of the "meant to be" is what I want - more stability, security, and opportunity for growth and love.
