Hi everyone,

My name is Jarod Ziegler and I’m reaching out with hope in my heart and a dream that I’ve carried for a long time — to officially adopt my wife’s son and make permanent what we’ve known in our hearts for years: that I am his dad.

I’ve been in Jakoby’s life since he was just 18 months old. From the very beginning, we built an incredible bond. Whether it’s bedtime stories, scraped knees, or adventures I’ve been there through it all — not because I had to be, but because I wanted to be. Now, he’s four years old and getting ready to start Pre-K. Watching him grow into the sweet, smart, and funny little boy he is today has been one of the greatest joys of my life.

Although he already calls me Dad — and I am that in every way that matters — we would love to make our bond official through adoption. Legally becoming his father would mean the world to both of us and would give him the stability and security he deserves.

Unfortunately, the legal process comes with attorney fees and expenses that are more than we can comfortably manage right now. As much as it humbles us to ask, we’re turning to friends, family, and our community for support.
