She lives in an unfinished school bus in Alabama with no AC. In the summer, the metal roof of her bus is too hot to even touch, and inside it often reaches temps in excess of 100°f. She is in a bus, but can not afford to travel in it so she works at a campground in exchange for a place to park. She has been there for over two years. She is the kindest soul, and would never ask for anything for herself, but she has survived year after year without a complaint. Here's where I come in! She is a very dear friend of mine, and I've known her for several years. She is very shy because she's been hurt so many times in life, has a heart of pure gold, one of the most grateful people I've ever met, although she lives such a hard life every day. The person where she lives has offered to build her bus out as she secretly dreams of. He has offered to do the work for free if she will pay for the materials. This is a huge chance for her, and she's trying to save, but for her, that's like deciding if she will eat or not. It will take her years. I'm going to be seeing her this Fall. I would love so much to surprise her with the funds for the materials so her bus can be more than a survival tin can. You all know I don't usually do this, it would mean so much to me (and a priceless shock to her) If any of you can, would you help a deserving woman out?
