Support for my Mom's Last Adventure

Hello, my name is Damian. I live in Denver, CO, and I am the firstborn son of Charlotte, a kind, loving mother of five and grandmother of five beautiful grandchildren. My mom lives in England, nearly 4,000 miles away. Today, I’m reaching out with a humble request, not just for help, but to create a lasting and meaningful memory for a woman who has given so much to so many.

About Charlotte – A Mother’s Strength

My mom, Charlotte, is 66 years old. She’s spent her life caring for others, raising five children with strength, humor, and love, often through hard times. Her greatest joy is her family—especially her grandchildren—and she’s always dreamed of traveling across the country in an RV, exploring the natural beauty of places like Yellowstone National Park, and creating unforgettable memories.

Unfortunately, time is not on our side.

Living with ILD – An Incurable Illness

Five years ago, my mom was diagnosed with Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD), a group of chronic, progressive lung conditions that cause scarring of the lung tissue. ILD makes it increasingly difficult to breathe and reduces oxygen flow in the body. Over time, it significantly limits a person’s ability to live a normal life.

There is no cure for ILD, and sadly, we’ve been told her time is limited.

To make things worse, we lost her husband, Claude, 82, the love of her life, one year after her diagnosis, and it has made the journey a very difficult one.

While treatment has improved, it is only an extension. As her condition worsens, so does her independence and mobility. But her spirit remains strong, and her dream of one final journey—before her health declines further—is still alive.

What We’re Asking For

I would love to bring my mom to stay with me next year and help fulfill her long-held dream of renting an RV and taking a road trip through the American West—stopping at places like Yellowstone, the Grand Tetons, and other breathtaking national parks she’s always longed to see.

The funds raised will go directly toward:

• Round-trip travel from England

• RV rental for 2-3 weeks

• Gas, campsite fees, and travel insurance

• Medical supplies and oxygen support as needed during the trip

• Basic food and lodging expenses

Every contribution, no matter how small, will help us bring this journey closer to reality.

This isn’t just a vacation. It’s a chance for my mom to reconnect with nature, spend time with family, and make memories that will bring comfort to all of us in the time ahead.
