Make Carter’s wish come true

Donation protected
On the 26th June 2022 our good friends, Amie and Nick received the most devastating news any parent could ever hear.. your little baby boy has cancer!

Carter is just 5 years old and was diagnosed with a Wilms Tumor which is a rare form of childhood cancer affecting only 80 children each year! The cancer starts in the womb, Carter has had this tumor all of his life and no one knew which has allowed this horrible disease to grow. Carter sadly has a tumor on his kidney which is 14cm (this is a very large tumor for someone his age and size) Carter’s cancer is at Stage 3. whilst having scans to determine how advanced this awful disease was the Doctors also found that the cancer has spread to his vena cava (the main vein to his heart)

Amie and Nick have told us that sheffield childrens Hospital have been totally amazing with them. Carter was given a treatment plan which commenced almost immediately given his cancer was so advanced. Carter begun chemotherapy which has made him really unwell, he lost his hair almost immediately and has not been able to do things other children his age do such as go to School, to the park or be around other children for fear of getting an infection that will hinder his treatment.

Carter will be having an operation on the 10th August to remove the kidney tumor along with open heart bypass surgery to remove the tumor in his vena cava. Carter will then need a further 6 months of chemotherapy and possibly radiotherapy to destroy this awful disease! Many of you will know the devastating effects that cancer treatment has on adults and we can only imagine how this will effect a 5 year old boy

Nick and Amie have kept this relatively private apart from close family and friends, they are going through the toughest time of their lives and understandably are struggling to cope with what they are watching their darling son go though each day. Nick and Amie are both self employed, they have had to pretty much give up their jobs aside from the odd days to pay their mortgage and bills and we know they would never ask for donations or charity for themselves.

Myself and a few of the girls have decided that we would like to do something to support them through this very difficult time and hopefully raise enough money to send Nick, Amie, Carter & Harvey on the holiday of a lifetime when Carter finally gets to ring that bell!

Carter and his family are climbing a mountain right now so we thought we would do just that to raise some money for them. We will be climbing Scafell Pike.

Scafell Pike is the highest and the most prominent mountain in England, at an elevation of 978 metres above sea level.

We would love for you all to get behind us and sponsor us or join in on the climb (the more the merrier) to raise money to make Carter and his family smile and have something to look forward to ❤️❤️

Much love, Jodie, Vicky, Laura, Rae, Amy, Sharon & Candy.

Ourselves, Amie & Nick will be forever grateful for any donations no matter how big or small that anyone makes. Please give us a share so that we can raise as much money as possible for little Carter.
