Make braveONE Possible for Kids Like Bella

Hi friends and family,

Nine months ago, my daughter Bella was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Watching her navigate this life-changing diagnosis sparked something big. braveONE was born.

braveONE is the first program of its kind: a mentorship program that connects kids with T1D to inspiring adults who get it because they also live with T1D. These are not one-time events or virtual check-ins. These are consistent, in-person, 1:1 outings focused on real connection. Mentors are there for the everyday moments. School visits, ice cream runs, pep talks before doctor appointments — braveONE fills a gap that no other support program is addressing.

The response so far has proven how deeply needed this is. braveONE has already received national attention and messages from families across the country who are eager for something like this in their community.

We’re ready to launch our first pilot matches this summer, but we need your help to unlock the next step.

To officially launch, braveONE needs to become a fiscally sponsored project of Players Philanthropy Foundation (PPF). PPF is a trusted 501(c)(3) sponsor that has supported charitable initiatives since 2016. They work with athletes, creators, and community leaders to bring bold, purpose-driven ideas to life.

In order to be sponsored by PPF, we must submit a $3,000 deposit. Once we’re approved, braveONE will be able to:
