On behalf of the Blackmore family, we are raising as much money as possible to help turn their dream of an adapted home into a reality.

The Blackmore family are at the heart of our local community. Leanne, Jonathan, and their two daughters, Evie and Martha, are known for their kindness, generosity, and willingness to help others whenever they can. Having given so much to those around them, they now need our support during a difficult time.

Leanne, Evie, and Martha all live with muscular dystrophy, and both girls rely on motorised wheelchairs for their mobility.

Their current bungalow is no longer suitable for their family’s needs. Everyday tasks that many of us take for granted present significant challenges. Simple things such as moving through the hallway, accessing rooms, using the bathroom independently, or having more than one wheelchair user in the kitchen at the same time can be difficult. Narrow doorways and limited space mean wheelchairs regularly collide with walls and door frames, making daily life more stressful and restrictive.

Every day brings new obstacles, and the family’s planned home adaptations would make a life-changing difference. The improvements would create a safe, accessible, and comfortable environment where everyone can live more independently and enjoy spending time together as a family.

We are hoping to raise enough funds to bring these building works forward and help transform their house into a home that truly meets their needs. Every donation, no matter the size, will help make this goal a reality and will have a lasting impact on the lives of Leanne, Jonny, Evie, and Martha.
