Fund a film - Landworking Women & Non-Binary Hack

This summer, Friday 1st - Sunday 3rd July, Fresh and Green farm in Devon is once again going to host a weekend event for Landworking Women and Non-binary folk in true farm hack style - and we want to make a film! 

 

This will be the first event of its kind since Covid-19 and will be a beautiful opportunity for women (trans-inclusive) and non-binary folk in the movement to come together to strengthen solidarity and networks and share knowledge and skills. The event will focus on the role and experience of women and non-binary folk in agroecological farming and food systems, education, ecology, and grassroots action. There will be skill shares, talks, demonstrations, political organising, socialising, and restorative practices, with the final programme being created collectively on the first evening.

 

We want to create a short film to capture what the weekend is about, why it's important within the wider farmers movement, and the experiences of participating landworkers. The money raised will go to paying a filmmaker. Creating a film means we can share practices, experiences, and calls to action with the wider movement and beyond, documenting this approach to farmer to farmer learning to support others to hold similar events.
