Hi, my name is Makayla Nadasdi. I grew up in Mabou, C.B., and I am currently in my second year of Human Kinetics at STFX with the goal of becoming a teacher.

This summer, I am heading to Poland on a mission trip through a program with Operation Mobilization. I will be volunteering in Warsaw, Poland from June 7th to June 21st, serving war refugees from Ukraine. I will mainly be supporting mothers and children through kids’ programs that offer Bible stories, English lessons, sports, crafts, and music. If you would

My great-great-grandmother was from Ukraine, and my great-grandfather was from Hungary. That is one reason this opportunity is especially meaningful to me. They left their

home countries during difficult times and were supported by strangers. Now it is my turn to support those who are in need of comfort and hope.

To make this trip possible, I am seeking financial support. I am asking my community, family, and friends to help cover the cost of my flights and stay in Poland. Any additional

funds raised will be given directly to Operation Mobilization to support refugees’ needs in Poland.

Here is a breakdown of my costs:

Flight to and from Poland: $1,810

Operation Mobilization fee (accommodations and meals): $1,250

Other expenses (transportation in Poland, etc.): $200
