Majestic Theatre Retford - Thank our Volunteers!

The Majestic Theatre is a professionally run theatre based in Retford, Nottinghamshire. We are proud to serve our local community, and have an audience that stretches much further across the UK. We have a huge range of shows across the year, including many different musical styles, dance schools, musicals, and orchestral concerts.

None of this would be possible, however, without our dedicated team of volunteer staff. They run absolutely everything, from the backstage crew, to the technical, to front of house, to box office, bar, sweets and ice creams, and everything else in between. They are here rain or shine, and it is their number one priority to do the best job they can for you.

We have decided this year to host our Christmas Social Event inside the Majestic itself - so the staff become the guests for a change! We are hoping to hold a themed night with a bar, food, a quiz, and live entertainment, as well as other activities. But this doesn't come cheap, and we want to give our volunteers the night they deserve!

This is where you come in...we know that our audiences LOVE our volunteer team, and like to show them appreciation all the time on our social media, and emails and messages we receive after shows. We would love if you would join us in thanking our volunteers by donating to fund our Christmas Social Event!

Please donate whatever you feel comfortable with - we are predicting the event will cost around £10-15 per head, so you could choose to pay for someone to go, or contribute towards. If we get enough donations, we will also be putting on a Free Bar for the event. Any additional funds will be put into the pot for our next social in 2025.

From 1 October 2023 to 1 October 2024, we had 23,815 visitors to the Majestic - we have greeted you all and ensured you have had a fabulous evening, and we look forward to doing it again when you next visit!
