Maia's Adoption Fund

Hi, We are Kris & Amy Izzi and we are raising money for the adoption expenses for our daughter Maia. We began our adoption journey in October of 2022 in order to open our home and grow our family through the journey of adoption. We opened our minds and hearts to God to see where this journey would take us. On June 12, 2023 right after we completed our training with our adoption agency we received a life changing phone call that we had been matched with a 5 year old girl from Tennessee named Maia who was in need of a forever home. We knew instantly from the first photo we saw of Maia that we wanted to open our family and welcome her into our home. By June 17th we had become an instant family and it's changed our lives forever in the best way.

Anyone who is familiar with the adoption process knows it comes with some financial challenges. In order to welcome Maia into our home we had to immediately provide $15,000 in fees alone in order to bring her back to our home in Indiana. That's not on top of any other expenses that come from parenting a child. This has caused us to take on some sizable to debt to welcome Maia home. If given this decision we'd make it again every time.

Maia is the sweetest and most wonderful child we have ever met. She is so kind and always willing to help anyone she can. She loves Disney movies and especially ones with great music in it like Frozen and Moana. She is very affectionate and has such a caring heart. She has a smile that can light up the room and a spirit that's as resilient as it is inspiring. Her dreams are as big as her heart, and we want to do everything in our power to help her achieve them. Everyday she is with us she makes such better people and we couldn't ask for a more wonderful child to have come into our family.

That's why we've created this GoFundMe campaign – to ask for your help in providing Maia with the resources and opportunities she needs to reach her full potential. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in her life. All of the money donated to this campaign will go toward the adoption expenses and then directly towards her care.
