My name is Mahmoud. I am 30 years old, living in Gaz a, and like many others here, my life has been completely upended by the devastating war. I am reaching out to you today not just for myself, but for the lives of those I love most: my wife, who is heavily pregnant and on the verge of giving birth, and our 2-year-old son, Mohammed.
Right now, our daily reality is a battle for basic survival.
Our Broken Shelter
We are currently living in a worn-out fabric tent. After a brutal winter of relentless rain and fierce winds, the fabric has torn, and the structure is heavily damaged. It no longer protects my toddler from the cold nights or my pregnant wife from the harsh weather. We desperately need to secure a new, sturdier tent to give my family a basic sense of dignity and safety.
The Daily Struggle for Water and Bread
Every single day is consumed by the exhausting search for the bare necessities. Clean water is incredibly scarce, and securing enough food and drink for the day feels like an impossible task. As a father, there is no deeper pain than looking into your child's eyes when he is hungry or thirsty, knowing how little you can do to fix it.
A New Life on the Horizon
What weighs most heavily on my heart right now is the imminent arrival of our new baby. My wife is due to give birth very soon under the most tragic conditions imaginable. She needs proper nutrition, a safe, clean space, and basic medical supplies—things that are nearly non-existent here. I want to bring our newborn into a sheltered space, not an open, ruined tent.
How You Can Help
I have always worked hard to provide for my family, but these catastrophic circumstances have left us completely vulnerable. We cannot do this alone. Your generosity can directly change our lives by helping us:
Purchase a secure new tent and essential shelter materials.
Secure clean drinking water, food parcels, and milk for Mohammed.
Provide necessary medical care and supplies for my wife’s upcoming delivery and our newborn.
No donation is too small. Even sharing our story with your community means the world to us and gives us hope that we are not forgotten.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your empathy, your prayers, and your support.
With gratitude,
Mahmoud and family
