Mahe Ramadhan Charity Drive
Salam alaikum
Ya Ali (as) Madad
Mahe Ramadhan Kareem to everyone. Once again Alhamdulillah we have been blessed with the opportunity to make the most of this Holy Month from fasting, ibadat and charity.
Yes we have been hit by this calamity (coronavirus) but let's not forget this month is still about helping the less fortunate which we should do all year around but more so in this month. We Alhamdulillah still are blessed with so much and with this lockdown we know exactly how fortunate we are. But there are still people in many countries who do not know where their next meal is coming from and even if it will.
I am once again going to try and collect money for orphans and the less fortunate. Please let me know if you would like to contribute and together like previous years we can InshAllah raise money to help the less fortunate.
With your help, Alhumdulillah we raised £2506.25 last year. This year I have set up a GoFundMe page in support of Orphans through The Zahra Trust.
‘They ask you, [O Muhammad], what they should spend [in charity]. Say, “Whatever you spend of good is [to be] for parents and relatives and orphans and the needy and the traveller. And whatever you do of good - indeed, Allah is Knowing of it.”’ Al Baqarah: 215
“If you want to pray to Allah for better means of subsistence, then first give something in charity.”
— Imam Ali (a.s.), Nahjul Balagha
May you all have a safe mahe Ramadhan.
