On August 15th 2019, my own dream to open a restaurant dedicated to Filipino food and culture opened it's doors. For anyone who has known me, knows that this dream has been around for many, many years and after so much hard work, blood, sweat, tears, and laughter, we were able to make the dream become a reality.
Through all of this, the people that I have surrounded myself to open and run this restaurant have become my family. We have shared many stories, many dishes, and many celebrations and hardships. When times got rough, they were there to remind me my I do this and why they are still with me and vice versa. I have come to know and love each and everyone of them, and made it my own personal goal to be there for them and provide a place where we can all share a common place, a true home where we are allowed to express ourselves through food and service, and welcome the community within our dining room, as if we are sharing our home with them.
At this time, I am doing everything that I can to support them through this trying period of our lives. Where everything else is failing us, I look towards my community to help us stay afloat, to be able to come back from all of this with as little scarring as possible.
My restaurant family has always been behind me, no questions asked, and it is my turn to push for them. All proceeds raised will go towards helping my small restaurant family get through this.
If you have ever shared a meal with us, raised a glass with us, laughed and cried with us, then you know how hard we all work. We want to be able to continue to share these experiences with you all. Please consider helping us out. If not us, then the other thousands of restaurant workers out there that are all in the same boat.
I love my team, my family. This is the least I can do for them.
