Wrentham’s Magic Monkeys are going GLOBAL!
After rocking both the regional and state Destination Imagination tournaments, the Magic Monkeys have qualified for the Global Finals competition in Knoxville Tennessee May 22nd – May 28th.
They are so PSYCHED to be going to Globals!
This amazing team of six 3rd and 5th graders tackled DI’s very difficult technical challenge for 2016/2017and created a solution that doesn’t just solve the problem; it also tells a compelling story about being environmentally responsible.
This young team’s next challenge is to raise funds to cover room and board for this amazing S.T.E.A.M. conference. We appreciate any donation you can make to help.
Who are the Magic Monkeys?
Matthew, Ella, Peter, JoHanna, Rebekah, and Catie can drive a screw before you can say, “put your safety glasses on!” and saw through a 2x4 with practiced confidence. They have spent months designing and building a movable stage and refining their story about ocean acidification and coral bleaching.
Please DONATE and help these incredible kids share their scientific knowledge and technical expertise on an international stage at Global Finals!

What is Destination Imagination?
The Destination Imagination Challenge Program gives teams the opportunity to solve open-ended S.T.E.A.M. (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) challenges and present their solutions at local tournaments, which can qualify them to compete at state level tournaments, with the winners of states being honored with an invitation to Global Finals in Knoxville, Tennessee. While solving one of the seven challenges, team members learn patience, flexibility, persistence, ethics, respect for others and their ideas and the collaborative problem solving process.
