UPDATE: We have officially wrapped production but it is not over yet! We are now in the midst of our festival run! However this can come at a great cost due to entrance fees for festival submissions. Putting our film into festivals is a great opportunity to get ourselves out there and for audiences to watch our film within a theatre. Any support for us to do so would be greatly appreciated!

We are students from Curtin University currently in production for our major project short film: MAGIC BIBS. The film is a fun dramedy featuring the story of friendship, girlhood, and identity.

Nadia, the uptight captain of a failing social netball team attempts to fix their losing streak through the use of spell-casting. When the team starts winning, her overt ambition begins to threaten her relationship with the two goal shooters of the team, Ellie and Bailey. She must then decide what is more important to her; friendship or the netball trophy

The film revolves around Nadia as she struggles with her own self-value and self-image. It questions her ambition as to whether it truly comes from her desire to win, or perhaps from her need to connect with others. The film explores Nadia's dynamic within her friend group of Ellie and Bailey through the representation of female friendships within an Australian sport context.

We are all incredibly excited to bring this story to life and is greatly appreciative of any support we can get to do so. Every cent raised will go directly into our production as donations will help cover the cost of catering, location bookings, equipment rentals, set design, costuming, festival entries and more.
