However this can come at a great cost due to entrance fees for festival submissions. <div>We are students from Curtin University currently in production for our major project short film: <em>MAGIC BIBS</em>. The film is a fun dramedy featuring the story of friendship, girlhood, and identity.

<div><em>Nadia, the uptight captain of a failing social netball team attempts to fix their losing streak through the use of spell-casting. When the team starts winning, her overt ambition begins to threaten her relationship with the two goal shooters of the team, Ellie and Bailey. She must then decide what is more important to her; friendship or the netball trophy</em>

<div>The film revolves around Nadia as she struggles with her own self-value and self-image. It questions her ambition as to whether it truly comes from her desire to win, or perhaps from her need to connect with others. The film explores Nadia's dynamic within her friend group of Ellie and Bailey through the representation of female friendships within an Australian sport context.
