Since our inception in 2016, Magdeburg Indians e.V. has been a steadfast pillar of support for the Indian community in Magdeburg. As a non-profit organization, we rely solely on sponsorships during events to sustain our operations. However, to ensure smooth functioning and better serve our community, we need your help.

Our Mission:

Magdeburg Indians e.V. is dedicated to fostering cultural integration, supporting Indian students and families, and promoting mutual understanding between cultures. With over 30-40 dedicated volunteers and a committed board of 7 members, we work tirelessly to organize events, provide educational support, and create a welcoming environment for all.

Community Impact:

With a substantial community presence of over 1500 Indian students and 200 employed families, we represent a significant diaspora within Germany. Our organization has successfully hosted over 120 events encompassing business, cultural, and academic spheres. Looking forward, we aim to broaden our reach over the next three years by engaging a diverse audience, including Germans and internationals, to promote and celebrate Indian culture and activities.

Furthermore, with Intel's upcoming establishment of a new plant in Magdeburg, we anticipate an influx of additional Indian students and residents to the city, further enriching our community and cultural initiatives.

Our Need:

Currently, we operate from a modest space provided by the university at a nominal rent. While this keeps our overhead costs low, it limits our ability to expand and enhance our services. We now have the opportunity to secure a new office room within the university, which will significantly improve our operational efficiency and community outreach.

This includes essential office furniture, equipment, kitchen facilities, and renovation expenses.
