Hello Friends and Family!
Our family is thrilled to have the opportunity to go on this mission trip to Ensenada, Mexico in June with Harvest Fellowship’s Youth Group. While in Ensenada we will be building a house for a family in need. We will also be doing some street evangelizing and will have the opportunity to visit an orphanage. We will be doing this trip with a group called YWAM (Youth With A Mission) Mission Adventures. This group seeks to cultivate discipleship through hands-on ministry which will inspire and equip our youth for a lifetime of missional outreach.
As a family, we are very grateful for this opportunity to grow our faith and participate in the Great Commission together. We are excited to put our faith into action as we share the love of Jesus with the people of Ensenada. Jesus said that the greatest commandment is to love the Lord your God and the second is to love your neighbor as yourself. We are thankful for the opportunity to serve and love our Mexican neighbors together as a family.
Above all we would appreciate your prayers for us, our youth group and our leaders. We would appreciate prayers for safety during our travel, the house build and when evangelizing. Our next need is financial. Going on mission trips is not without costs. We humbly ask that you would prayerfully consider financially supporting us on this trip. We are seeking to raise $1200 per person ($6000 for our family). We are also working on raising money for this trip through other fundraisers (helping with the church potluck, and other youth group fundraising events).
Our family greatly appreciates your prayers and your consideration of giving to support this mission. If you choose to support us financially you can give by using go fund me, cash, or check. Checks can be made payable to Harvest Fellowship, put Madsen Family mission trip in the memo. If you pay by check you can get a tax deductible receipt at the end of the year. We are excited to see how God moves and how we all grow through this experience. May God bless each one of you!
Sincerely,
The Madsen Family
