Madni Masjid, Lancaster Place has been serving the Muslim community of Blackburn since the early 1980s.

Alhamdulillah, in spite of very limited space the Masjid has been at the forefront of propagating the true teachings of Sunni Islam through its Jumu’ah sermons, educational seminars and events and much more.

At present the Masjid comprises of just one main prayer hall and wudhu facility. This means that we are unable to accommodate our sisters at Jumu’ah or any of our events.

The friday congregation has also outgrown the prayer hall and so very frequently members of the congregation must pray outside in the mosque grounds and even on the road.

We laso do not have space to provide classrooms for our educational activities.

We are pleased to announce that we have been granted planning permission to extend the existing masjid floor plan and also add an additional floor above. This will help to remedy all the problems mentioned above, and allow us to serve the whole community without excluding our sisters.

In the last 10 days and nights of Ramadan, open your heart and donate to our extension project so that the work can be started and completed as soon as possible.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ has taught us that the reward of all good deeds is multiplied by a minimum of seventy in the month of Ramadhan. In addition to this we have been encouraged to search for Layla tul Qadr, the reward of which is greater than a thousand months, in the last ten nights of Ramadan.

Your donation could be multiplied by many thousands and more in these nights.

The messenger of Allah also said “Whoever builds a mosque for the sake of Allah, Allah ﷻ shall build a home for him in Jannah.

What a great opportunity to acquire a property in Jannah.

Give whatever you can, and earn the reward of every Sajdah (prostration) that will ever take place at Madni Masjid until the Day of Judgement.
