Hiking for Freedom: Trekking Machu Picchu to Change Lives
As we take on the breathtaking challenge of hiking Machu Picchu in Peru, we are not just climbing for adventure—we are climbing for impact. Every step we take is a step towards hope, restoration, and transformation for communities around the world.
Hiker's Bio:
Hi, I’m Madelein Albertyn! Originally from South Africa, I have always been passionate about health and wellness, which led me to study Somatology. My journey took an exciting turn when I met my wonderful husband at a Bible study group, and together, we’ve been blessed with two sets of energetic twins.
In 2017, we made the big move to America, and since then, we’ve embraced the adventure of balancing family life with staying active in the great outdoors. Whether it’s hiking, biking, or simply enjoying a sunny day at the park, we love to stay on the move together.
When I’m not wrangling kids around, I’m in the kitchen whipping up healthy, delicious meals or with a paintbrush in hand. I believe in the power of building meaningful connections and am always excited to meet new people, share stories, and exchange ideas.
