My name is Ben Rosenthal, but this GoFundMe is not for myself. It is for my sister Maddy, who has recently gotten into a tight situation involving abuse from her husband just a couple of days ago. He was intoxicated at their home and acted out, threatening her. Thank goodness she did the right thing to call the police and had him arrested. I never saw this dark side of her husband, but I guess he was charming to people in public, and behind closed doors, he was a totally different person. A classic Jekyll and Hyde story, but nonetheless still traumatizing. It’s especially hard because it’s not just her in the house. Maddy is now in her house with her 4 doggos who need her love and support. Her husband was financially more sound than her, and she has filed for help under different laws helping women in need from abusive significant others, but I’m trying to help her as much as I can so this situation doesn’t have to be harder than it has to be.
