Does Maddy Halland need a new wheelchair van? Yep. In a big way.
Maddy is a favorite in Missoula's thriving stand-up comedy scene, but he is currently without a reliable vehicle, which makes it super hard for him to get around. This has led to substantial frustration, including missing important stuff like comedy shows and nearly having to wheel back to his home from the airport after arriving late at night. Of course, wheelchair vans of any kind are harder to find than standard vehicles and also more cost prohibitive. That's why the community is pitching in.
Maddy is grateful to those who can support with even a few dollars. He has also applied for grant support and hopes to buy a van within the next four months. If you know of a van in good shape, reach out to Maddy on Facebook!
In addition to donating here, join us on Nov. 9 at 4 pm, when the comedy community will partner with Western Cider to put on an afternoon of stand-up and ciders, with all proceeds going to Maddy's van fund. Let's do this!
