Maddox's World Challenge Fundraiser

About Me:

Hello, wonderful supporters! My name is Maddox, a 15-year-old from Berkshire, and I'm embarking on an incredible journey that I'm eager to share with you. I've been a proud fan of Reading FC, and this time, I'm combining my love for football with a passion for running and making a difference.

The Challenge:

On February 16th, 2024, I'll be starting my ambitious challenge, running an ambitious 65 miles from the Select Car Leasing Stadium (home of Reading FC) to Fratton Park, Portsmouth (home of Portsmouth FC), just in time for the Reading vs. Portsmouth match at 3 PM on Saturday 17th February 2024, It's a cross-country adventure, spanning two days, that I hope will not only test my endurance but also raise awareness about the challenges faced by Reading FC due to points deductions imposed by the EFL.

The Purpose:

But this run is about more than just football. I'm aiming to raise funds for a World Challenge expedition to Peru in July 2024. This unique opportunity allows me to work alongside like-minded individuals on community initiatives, including conversation initiatives, reforestation, trail maintenance, and plant identification work. I see this as a chance to build skills for a lifetime – courage, endurance, and determination.

Supporting Project Peru:

Any funds raised beyond my target will be donated to Project Peru (registered charity 1049413), a small charity based in the UK. They are dedicated to providing food, clothes, shelter, education, health, and joy to children and families facing extreme poverty in Lima, Peru.
