Mad Pride Sheffield

We are fundraising to put on our first Mad Pride event in Sheffield and to help grow the movement. Any surplus will go to Radical Mutual Aid Sheffield.

Mad Pride is an intersectional psychiatric survivor led movement that celebrates the identities and experiences of individuals who have been labelled as 'mentally ill' or used mental health services and wish to reclaim the term 'mad'. It aims to challenge stigma, advocate for rights, and create spaces for mutual aid and community building. In recent years, mad pride has increasingly aligned with the neurodiversity movement, recognising the interconnected nature of mental health advocacy and neurodivergent experiences.

We are hoping to grow a network that can create community resources as well as organise more mad pride events in Sheffield.
